‘Soul Calibre’ from Sydney beatmaker Kase Avila is a collection of late night down tempo groovers, low slung boom bap beats and smoked out hazy head nod hip-hop and soul.
Kase Avila is an Australian-Fillipino DJ, producer and all round creative from Sydney, Australia. Packed full of depth, diversity and musicality, this one is for early doors or end of sets at the club, back to mine sessions, sunrises, sunsets, headphone trips, all seasons and basically any time you want to elevate your soul and feel good.
After the superb previous albums and a semi-hiatus, I irrationally feared that Raiza Biza's style might be gravitating towards US rap.
So glad to see he stays true to his roots here - it is what sets him apart.
Love this album, it is fresh, fun and thoughtful at the same time. Been on repeat for a while, still deciding if I simply love all of the tracks or if there is a clear favourite. Not picking one for now. As I get deeper into an album, my favourites tend to change anyway. Esabee31
This track as the introduction to the album is phenomenal, it sets a pace which comes and goes with different songs on the album and having this track as the first one to play gets you into that mindset to pay attention to pacing. cchisholm
Its impossible to choose 1 track The whole Album is 🔥.. I love respect & truly appreciate this band. They are both extremely gifted & most definitely belong alongside each other. They made my last 2 years. First time seeing them live in London on the 19th May 2021. I have all their albums now. Bless you both neviah
